KS2 Girls’ Football
Our KS2 girls had an amazing time at the recent football festival held at Chrishall School. They joined mixed groups with girls from other schools to take part in a carousel of fun and challenging football games. The festival was a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills, make new friends and enjoy football.
After the games, the girls showed great teamwork and sportsmanship during the football matches, representing our school extremely well. We’re so proud of how well they played and the positive attitude they brought to the day.
Well done to all the girls for their enthusiasm and effort. Thank you to Mr Snelling for overseeing the event.
JFAN Sports Coach visit
Last Wednesday morning, the Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 girls were very fortunate to have Lisa Dunlop, from JFAN and the Uttlesford School Sports Partnership, teach football skills in preparation for the girls’ football festival. It provided a great opportunity for the girls to practice and learn football skills and prepare for the football festival.
Harvest
We will be celebrating harvest at school during the week of 13th October. We are kindly asking for donations towards the Uttlesford food bank and in particular, the following food items which they are most in need of:
If you feel you can, please donate one or some of these items to help those in need.

Meet the Teacher
Thank you to all the parents that attended our Meet the Teacher event last week. We hope you enjoyed meeting your child’s class teacher and found the event informative.
Heads of School
The Heads of School have had their first meeting. We are very keen to start our roles and plan projects to work on this year.
Teams
As you are aware, we have been setting up Microsoft Teams for each class in Key Stage 1 & 2 – thank you for your support with this. The class pages are beginning to be used to share learning with families to supplement the Friday Focus and as a continuation of Tapestry from Reception. Class Teachers have begun using the Teams platform to set most of the weekly homework/spellings. Please bear with us whilst get to grips with this new concept. Thank you to all the parents who have shared their positive feedback with us.
Parent Forum
Our Parent Forum have been working hard creating a spreadsheet for volunteers so that we can tighten our home/school links and place voluntary support appropriately. Thank you to everyone that has already responded to the survey that they have sent out to parents, so we can action this process.
Our first Parent Forum meeting will take place on the 6th October, when we will discuss the School Improvement Plan for this academic year and plan our first focus.
Thank you to our representatives for supporting this forum.
We are looking for a representative for Reception class. Please contact the school office if you are interested–
