Yr5/6 Football Tournament
All the year 5 and 6 children who took part in the Football Tournament made Mr Snelling very proud. The children played brilliantly as a team and supported one another in every match. The boys played eight games, they won five of them, drew three and over all won their group for small schools. They will now progress to the next round and represent small schools for Uttlesford & District. The girls played five matches, won two of them and drew three games. The girls therefore came third overall. Well done everyone who took part. Thank you to all the parents who helped with lifts and to Mrs Yildiz for organising the event, Mr Snelling, Mrs Neal and Mrs Snelling for supporting and coaching the children at the matches.

Sports Ambassador training
The Sports Ambassador training took place this week at Elsenham. The year six Sports Ambassadors this year are: Elise, Beebee, Esmee, Hattie and Evie. They were fantastic in the session and they learnt new skills and to understand how to set up and run sporting activities. Thank you to Mr Snelling for supporting the children at this event. Thank you to Mrs Blundell for taking the children to and from Elsenham.
Heads of School
The Heads of School have been working hard. They have designed and made ‘Idea’ boxes for each class, which have been delivered.
They led an assembly this week explaining the purpose of them to the whole school and how we want ideas from the children around what further equipment we can put in plastic boxes (on the decking and in the Friendship Garden) to give them more to play with. The children are very excited about this.
Governor Focus Morning
We had an informative and successful Governor Focus Morning last week. Our Governors came into school and spent time in each class, met with staff and children looking at areas linked to our School Improvement Priorities. We were very proud of the children.
| Harvest
We will be celebrating harvest at school during the week of 13th October. We are kindly asking for donations towards the Uttlesford food bank and in particular, the following food items which they are most in need of:
If you feel you can, please donate one or some of these items to help those in need.

Our Parent Forum met for the first time for this academic year, this week. We would like to welcome Ruth Faraci as the Reception class representative.
This week we discussed the new system that the Forum have designed to support volunteering in school, school trip costs, our school improvement areas for this academic year including questionnaire feedback and next steps.
We will be planning another themed week with visitors coming in working with the children.
The representatives will be liaising with their classes.
Thank you to our representatives for all their hard work and support.
