Raising money for the Philippines
0 Comment
On Thursday 21st November the children, organised by the School Council and working with Mrs Macfadyen and Mrs Chalk, completed a coin trail. The aim was to make a mile of coins!! The children had a fun and interesting morning and they managed to make a trail of coins which was 200m long. It wasn’t quite a mile but they managed to raise over £760 and are still counting. Donations from the village of Arkesden were included.
The funds that have been raised will be donated to the Philippine Red Cross or DEC and funds are still being collected.
Thank you to Mrs Macfadyen and Mrs Chalk as well as the School Council for organising this. Thank you for all the donations that have been brought into school.
