School Council meet Sir Alan Haselhurst and attend Conference
Sir Alan Haselhurst
On Tuesday 30th September, the School Council were lucky enough to have a visit and a discussion with Sir Alan Haselhurst. Before the meeting with Sir Alan each class held a class council to think of questions to ask. After a short tour around the school Sir Alan met with the school councillors. We found out that Sir Alan has been our MP since 1977 and he had been inspired to become an MP by Winston Churchill. He suggested that a zebra crossing could be put outside the school to make crossing Stortford Road safer for pupils.
School Council Conference
School Council Conference at Henham and Ugley School. On Thursday 9th October the eight KS2 members of our School Council went to the Uttlesford conference. Along with seven other primary schools they discussed their role as school councillors and how they could work together to help improve our school. We left with lots of ideas for our School Council to take back to their classes for possible future projects.
