Classes visit Saffron Walden Museum
To support their topic on the Normans, Class 3 and Class 4 visited Saffron Walden Museum on Monday February 9th. Led by the education officer, the children had the opportunity to handle and discuss Norman artefacts and also explore the galleries to complete an Invaders and Settlers quiz sheet. An object treasure hunt was completed with enthusiasm and children had time to sketch the objects that took their interest.
Before leaving, the children looked closely at the ruins of the Norman castle in the museum grounds and were helped to visualise the impressive structure it once was.
