We would like to welcome Lucinda Wicks and her family to the school. Lucinda joined Year 6 this week.
Year 5 Science Workshop
On Wednesday 30th November Class 5 visited Sartorius, a Biotech company in Royston, as part of a STEM project, Children Challenging Industry. Before the visit Class 5 had had 2 workshops led by a member of Sartorius. At Sartorius the children had the opportunity to see how a machine used for experiments had been designed and built. Then we saw the machine in action carrying out 48 experiments at once. The children had a very enjoyable morning and hopefully have been inspired to think about a possible career in science or engineering.
Class 5 Governor Visit
Class 5 have been learning about rules and responsibilities in PSHE. To learn a bit more, our class Governor, Mr Elphick, came in to talk about his job as a solicitor. He also spoke about the law and how MPs do their jobs. Class 5 really enjoyed it and learnt lots. We hope to see him again soon.
