Girls’ Cross Country Event
On 20th April 2017, six girls from year 5 went to Hadleigh Park to run their team cross country finals. The course was made from grass, gravel and concrete and had lots of uneven ground.
All the children were amazing runners and very talented. Georgie, Grace, Isabella, Petra, Molly and Amelie all ran really well and have achieved something amazing. There were around 100 runners and all the girls who competed for Clavering came in the top half.
We met Mr Dyce, and his dog Hobnob, at Hadleigh Park and also met Mrs Langan and they were all very supportive. We all enjoyed our day out and hope to go next year!

Three selected children – Cross Country Event
On Tuesday Millie, Georgie and I went to Hadeigh Park to do the individual cross country finals. We had to run on stone, grass and gravel. The course was very hilly but we all completed the course. The competition was tough as it was all the best runners in Essex. Thank you for taking us to Mrs and Mr Collett.
