A team from Year 6 represented Clavering at the family sports hall athletics at JFAN last week. They performed extremely well and were in equal first place all the way to the last race. Unfortunately we lost by the narrowest margin coming a very well fought second place to Great Chesterford. The team do however get to compete again as they have qualified for the Uttlesford finals at Lord Butler this week.

On Wednesday 12th February classes 6 and 4 took part in the Uttlesford Sports Hall Athletics having qualified in the first round.  Everyone did really well and worked really hard.  Year 4 came 3rd overall and Year 6 came 3rd out of 6 schools, that’s a big achievement we should be proud of.  We all took part in field events such as javelin, chest push, long jump, speed bonce and vertical jump.  Then we did lots of track events, races and relays.  It was all great fun and we really enjoyed going.
