Reception Class enjoyed their first trip to Forest School. It was really exciting returning to Deers. Mr Cooke came out to see us and told us he was delighted to see the children and to hear the happy sounds of children at the forest.  The class voted for their class forest name – The Happy Hedgehogs! They were absolutely fantastic listening to and applying the important rules.  The children enjoyed the walk to the wood around the pond and lake, over bridges and across the meadow.  They collected lots of natural treasures on the way. A highlight was the conkers that had just exploded out of their shells.  In the wood, we collected stunning Autumn leaves, built dens and bounced on the branches using our creativity and imaginations.  Thank you to Mrs Berrett and Mrs Thomas for leading the session and to Mrs O’Brien for her help.
