Headteacher Newsletter Issue 2
FORTNIGHTLY NEWSLETTER ISSUE 2: 23.9.22
Dear Parents
The Clavering Primary School community express our deepest sympathies for the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll. We joined the Royal Family and the nation in mourning her loss. On Friday 9th September we remembered her through our Platinum Jubilee celebrations and ‘paused for thought’ whilst watching photographs of her life. Rest in Peace.
Meet the Teacher Evening – Tuesday 20th September
Thank you to you all for joining us for our Meet the Teacher event. We hope you found it informative.
Class 5 walk
Year 5 were able to make the most of the good weather for a class walk, following maps to use the footpaths around Clavering. They had a lovely afternoon, enjoying the views and the time to get to know each other outside the classroom. A couple of detours were made to the designated route on the map (largely owing to time spent picking blackberries!) and the children were asked to spot when this happened; they were very good at reading the map and telling us when the route had changed. A lovely afternoon had by all; well done Year 5.
MacMillan Coffee Morning – Friday 30th September
Year 6 are leading a Coffee Morning next Friday to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support. Please refer to the Parent Mail that was sent out to you this week re booking a place and how you can support the event.

Harvest will be celebrated during the week commencing 3rd October. We normally ask families to bring in food donations. Further details below –
