Class 3 Egyptian Art

Class Three had a fantastic morning of ‘Egyptian Art’ this week, Ms South (Kitty’s Mum) came in to help us with her artistic expertise! The first activity was following step by step instructions to sketch Tutankhamun, we then used water colour paints to give him some colour. The second activity was creating a scroll that looked as though it had come from the Ancient Egyptian times. We covered it in cold tea, ripped it and screwed it up to give the correct effect. The children then wrote their names in hieroglyphics on one side and drew themselves as an Ancient Egyptian God or Goddess on the other. We had so much fun and would like to thank Kitty’s Mum for her help and artistic skills!
