Clavering Choir perform at The Spirit of Christmas Concert
Our talented school choir were an absolute credit to the school performing in the Spirit of Christmas choral concert at St. Mary’s Church, Saffron Walden on Saturday. They were impeccably behaved throughout, supportive of all the other choirs and sang beautifully. They sang their solo piece The Holly and Mistletoe with an angelic solo from Ava in the stunning surroundings and acoustics. They were fortunate to listen to the adult choral society choir, the church organ, town band and other schools. We all came together at the end to sing two pieces. A huge well done to all the children and families who gave up their Saturday to take part and to Mrs Thomas, Janet Wheeler for accompanying and to Mrs Bond for stepping in to help. What a wonderful start to the festive period.
The children in the choir have worked really hard this term rehearsing for the Spirit of Christmas concert at St. Mary’s Church in Saffron Walden this Saturday. Mrs Thomas and Mrs Course are extremely proud of their enthusiasm and commitment to the choir. Twenty-five children from classes 2-6 will join other schools and choirs to celebrate Christmas together and perform their solo song The Holly and Mistletoe. A huge well done to Ava who has practiced hard for her beautiful and angelic solo.
The sound of children singing is very special. We hope the choir enjoy taking part in the concert and their families enjoy watching too.
