Book Week 2024
Book Week
World Book Day took place this week. To celebrate this marvellous day, the whole school took part in some fun activities.
To kick off book week, the teachers took turns reading their favourite stories to a small group. This activity took place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. We moved around to hear different books. We all loved listening to all sorts of stories.
As well as this, on Tuesday, all the classes were delighted to be able to select a couple of books from the vast selection at the Book sale. Mrs Green and Mrs Dornan organised the morning. Each book was only £1. Over £250 was raised.
On World Book day (Thursday), we dressed up as a book character or an adjective. I came as comfy. There were many exciting costumes – some of the teachers dressed up.
Many thanks to Mrs Green, Mrs Dornan, The library monitors (Max H and Clara), Miss Crosby and all the parents and children who donated books to the book sale.
Also, a thank you to Martha and Max S, who wrote this report about book week.
We all had a lot of fun!
