What a treat we had this week! Reception have been learning all about minibeast and more recently the importance of bees.

So we invited Jeff and Will two local beekeepers in to talk to us. They brought in three thousand bees from one of their hives! We could hear the wings buzzing, smell the honey and even saw the Queen who had a green spot!

We learned an enormous amount about the importance of bees, how to look after them and what can harm them.

We must look protect these amazing team players who pollinate the world around us.
