Tag Rugby
On Wednesday 5th March, a team of children took part in the North Uttlesford Tag-Rugby Tournament at NFGS competing against 18 other schools in the area. Despite losing the first match, the Clavering team went on to win the next 4 matches in their heat and were carried forward to the final round.
The team played extremely well, both in defending and attacking, and went on to win 6 more matches, draw 1 and lose 1. When the scores were announced at the end, Clavering knew that they had played their hardest, and were delighted to be awarded 3rd place.
The team played 12 matches in one afternoon and were a real credit to Clavering School. Well done to Hattie, Millie, Chloe, Jessica, Zak, Samuel, Lucas, Ben, Freddie and George.
Thank you also to Mrs. Cooke, Mrs. Wilkinson and Mrs. Oakes for driving the children, all the parents who came and supported the children, and Mrs. Perry for making an excellent line referee.
