Year 3 and Year 4 made a splash for WaterAid

A visiting speaker from WaterAid told Classes 3 and 4 how this charity aims to improve the lives of 650 million people around the world whose lives are affected by the lack of a clean and local water supply and sanitary toilets. The children decided that they wanted to fundraise to support this vital work and with their slogan, ‘Make a Splash for WaterAid’, baked cakes to give others as a reward for throwing coins into a bucket of water.
The children emptied the buckets, counted the coins, and were thrilled to learn that £122 had been donated to send to WaterAid from Clavering Primary School. Thank you to everyone who donated money and well done to Y3 and Y4 for baking such delicious cakes!
