Years 5 and 6 trip to Daws Hall

On Thursday 16th March Years 5 and 6 went on a rivers field trip to Daws Hall near Sudbury. We had a very busy day investigating the speed of the river and brook flow, the amount of pollution in both (not much in either!) and the types of animals found in the brook. We also identified the features of a river and the effects of erosion and deposition on a river. Luckily the weather was sunny and warm and we all had a very interesting day studying the River Stour. The children all enjoyed the experience and were well behaved throughout the day. Thank you to Mrs Joseph, Mr Collett and Mr Cannell for their help on the trip.
