Boys Cricket
On Wednesday 23rd May the boys took part in a cricket tournament which was held at Saffron Walden Cricket Club, with 7 different schools involved. In our first match we played Newport and lost 282 – 255 and in this match a superb catch was taken by Edward Sowter, In our second match against Debden we won 285 – 282. Will and Sam scored numerous sixes between them. We enjoyed the morning thoroughly but enjoyed the afternoon more because the sun was out, unlike the morning, and we watched the girls play. We would all like to thank Mr. Snelling for helping umpire and Mr. Dyce for coaching us.

Girls Cricket
After a chilly morning the sun came out for the girls at Saffron Walden Cricket Field. After countless weeks of training (five weeks) they were ready. They won their first game 281 – 221 against Debden. Unfortunately they lost their second game by just 5 runs. There was some excellent batting, bowling and fielding by all on the team, but Georgie and Grace stood out for the many sixes they scored. The girls did very well and did their best. Both the boys and girls had fun at the cricket club.
