On Thursday last week the children in class 6 enjoyed their first ‘class walk’ of the year. We were fortunate to have the sunshine with us and it was a perfect day to enjoy and appreciate the countryside on our doorsteps. The children followed local maps with a 5 mile circular route along the footpaths, which has been established as the Year 5 and 6 walk for a number of years now. Map reading skills were encouraged and signs of Autumn identified along the way. We are now looking forward to the Spring and Summer walks to see how the landscape changes.
