To support their learning about minibeasts this half term, Reception have enjoyed learning about the life cycle of a butterfly. We had four caterpillars which we observed grow with keen interest. We then saw them climb to the top of their special pot and form a chrysalis each.  After a very patient wait we were privileged to observe two of the butterflies emerge. We went to the reading circle where there are lots of lovely flowers to release our butterflies. It was magical.

We have also learned about bee conservation.
