On Wednesday 8^th June, 4 boys and 4 girls from Years 3,4,5 and 6 represented the school at Quad Athletics at JFAN. At the beginning was a parade of Commonwealth flags to commemorate this year’s event in Birmingham. There were four events: standing long jump, howler throw, sprint and a long- distance run 400m/600m. All the children participated in each event against children from lots of other Uttlesford schools. Luckily, the weather was good for sport as it was warm and sunny. A big thank you to Mrs Selwood, Mr Upton and Mrs Lawless for helping to supervise a group of children compete in the events. All the children tried their best and were very sporting in their attitude – well done all!

The children gave great effort with the Year 3/4 teams coming in 11^th and 12^th out of 16 and the Year 5/6 teams coming in 8^th and 14^th
